Even though it was quite late he turned on the game. When it was late Scorpix decided to end playing in MGS V and go sleep, but then he looked at his Steam library.

So he bought it and installed but there was still MGS V to end. A Day passed and he was sill thinking about Undertale, so he said: "Damn it, I will buy it". It looks hard, but this Flowey looks so nice".ĭecision could be only one "I will buy it to check it, but only if it will be on a Steam Sale". He decided to check it on youtube but it get him more confused than before. It doesn't look interesting and it is for sure based on an idea that monsters are not bad at all like in "Monster Inc." animation. One day he decided to check which game is the best at the moment on. Once upon a time there was a Steam player named Scorpix.

Personally I'd rather play most other games because *shock* *horror* I didn't like the Mother games. So basically yes, in the minds of most of the people of the internet you are missing a gem. It's a game that tries to go the same route as the Mother games (widely held to be the finest examples of video games ever produced, I don't see it personally.) and be quirky, with quirky mechanics, while telling a humoristic story that is simultaneously really really dark, in a naive sort of viewpoint. Thanks so much! I'm just curious if i'm missing a gem here basically. I'm not trying to disrespect the game as I have no idea what the deal is, which is why I ask someone to explain :) Could someone explain, how this is possible? I've taken a look at the screenshots and it looks like how a game on my calculator would look if it had color. So, I'm pretty shocked to see this game with an overwhelmingly positive review. Originally posted by John:Hello just a thread passing through. Yes I do realize that far more detailed 2D RPG's exist in terms of pixel resolution, but I think the minimalistic graphics of this game have a certain charm to them. They both have their advantages and disadvantages.Īs for the graphics themselves though.I actually really like the visuals of this game and I don't get the complaints. I don't believe that 3D is inherently better than 2D. Yeah, I've even seen people like the game grumps use that logic. This isn't a jab at OP personally or anything, but is it that hard for some people to think of a 2D game that they themselves thought was incredible? I can think of several, Undertale of course being one of them.

It reminds me of when SoTN came out and people were all like "2D is so passe and useless" and all that. I'm kinda disappointed that there are people who see a 2D game, even as one as retro looking as Undertale, and have this much trouble seeing it as something excellent. Not gonna go into why since I'm sure this thread will have a ton of reviews pasted into it soon enough. Regardless, this game has such good ratings because it's a unique and heartfelt experience. Well if you look around plenty of games have over 90% positive reviews on steam.
